Slip nuts are used to connect tubular pipes to other tubular pipes or IPS (threaded) fittings. They are available in various sizes, ranging from 2" to 1-1/4". The best slip nuts are made of solid brass, either cast brass or rod brass, and are plated with the desired finish. We do not recommend installing cheaper, die-cast metallic slip nuts. Additionally, plastic slip nuts are suitable for use with plastic tubular pipe.
